Deputies searching for suspect after man shot in south Everett

EVERETT, Wash. — Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are at the scene of a shooting in Everett.

At about 12:45 p.m., deputies responded to 12400 Admiralty Way after witnesses called 911 to report that a man in his twenties had been shot multiple times.

SCSO initially reported that a man had died from a gunshot wound, but it later confirmed that the victim was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told deputies that the victim and the suspect were involved in an altercation prior to the shooting.

The suspect was seen fleeing from the scene on foot, running north.

Deputies are now searching for the suspect, who is believed to be armed, with K9 units and drones.

The suspect is described as a Black man who is 5 feet, 8 inches tall with short hair. He is wearing a green shirt and tan pants.

Deputies do not believe there is an active threat to the community, but all persons are asked to avoid the area while authorities respond to the scene.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
