SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A King County Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured in a head-on crash in Snohomish County, which involved another driver who is suspected of driving under the influence, Washington State Patrol trooper Jacob Kennett said on Wednesday night.
The collision happened on State Route 2 at milepost 19, East of Monroe.
The crash is blocking the road in both directions.
Kennett said it sounds like the deputy suffered a serious hand injury and possibly other injuries.
The driver suspected of driving under the influence was taken into custody.
It is not known what led to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
