Neighbor rescues woman from Lynnwood house fire

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A neighbor rescued a woman from a burning home in Lynnwood Tuesday night.

At around 8:45 p.m., dispatchers received 911 calls about smoke and flames coming from a home in the 5800 block of 186th Place Southwest.

Crews had the fire under control within 10 minutes.

According to South County Fire, a neighbor rescued a woman from the small single-story home before firefighters arrived.

The woman, who appeared to have life-threatening injuries, was taken to Harborview Medical Center by medics.

No one else was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

South County Fire serves nearly 300,000 residents in Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace and unincorporated southwest Snohomish County.
