Blue Jays take ALCS Game 3 in 13-4 rout over Mariners

SEATTLE — The Toronto Blue Jays took Game 3 of the American League Division Series, highlighted by five home runs as a team with a final score of 13-4 over the Mariners.

Seattle struck first with a two-run home run by Julio Rodriguez in the 1st but the Jays quickly hit back with a game-tying homer by shortstop Andrés Giménez the next inning.

The Blue Jays continued to add on with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. going four for four with a home run, two doubles, and a walk.

Mariners starting pitcher George Kirby went 4 innings, giving up 8 hits and 8 earned runs.

The M’s had some life in the 8th with back-to-back home runs by Randy Arozarena and Cal Raleigh, but could not ignite a rally.

Seattle still leads the series 2 games to 1, with Luis Castillo taking the mound against Max Scherzer for Game 4 on Thursday.
