PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Nearly 50,000 customers in Pierce County were without power on Friday.
Tacoma Public Utilities’ outage map showed over 13,000 of its customers were impacted. Most outages were in University Place and Ruston.
Peninsula Light Company’s outage map showed an additional 36,000 customers impacted.
No word on what caused the outages.
Power has since been restored.
