The Olympia Police Department says two people are dead after they got into an argument and started shooting at each other.

Just before midnight on Friday, officers were called to Harrison Avenue NW.

When they arrived, officers found a 20-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound in a parking lot.

The department said that while officers were at the scene, a 17-year-old man arrived at a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds. He later died.

According to the department, the 17-year-old is believed to have been driven to the hospital by someone who witnessed the fight.

Police say the two met to settle a disagreement; a fight broke out, and then they shot at each other.

The department seized 2 cars and found 1 handgun at the scene. They are in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the other car.
