Amber Alert canceled for two children abducted in Olympia, suspect arrested, children safe

The Washington State Patrol issued an Amber Alert on behalf of the Olympia Police Department after two children were abducted during a monitored visit at the Capital Mall Saturday.

Authorities were searching for Andrew Womack-Eady, 24, who failed to make a required 30-minute check-in phone call during the visit.

He was last heard from at 10 a.m. and was reportedly in the area of Black Lake Boulevard.

Olympia police said at 2:41 p.m. that the suspect may have been spotted in the Vancouver/Portland area.

By 3:15 p.m., Womack-Eady was arrested by the Portland Police Department. Both children were reported safe.
