RENTON, Wash. — Renton police have arrested one suspect following an officer-involved shooting on Friday afternoon.
Two people were injured in the shooting at Southeast 168th Street and 116th Avenue Southeast, but the department said no officers were injured.

“We just heard two loud booms and like maybe 7 to 8 gunshots. And we all got down because God forbid, you know, a bullet might’ve hit the window,” said a man who works at TKB Barbers.
He told KIRO 7 his first instinct was to get their clients out of harm’s way.
“Everyone started ducking, everybody started getting to the back getting to safety,” he said.
Renton officers and SWAT were attempting to arrest a suspect from a shooting on Thursday night when gunfire broke out, Renton PD posted.
“It’s not something normal. It’s not an everyday thing so we’re scared right now,” said nearby resident Nicole Richards.
Thursday night’s shooting at Northeast 6th Street and Queen Avenue Northeast left an 18-year-old man in critical condition, police said.
King County’s Independent Force Investigative Team is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
