An 81-year-old Edmonds man sustained significant head and leg injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk on Friday afternoon, according to the Edmonds Police Department.
The crash happened around 4:41 p.m. in the 23800 block of 76th Avenue West.
Police identified the driver as a 24-year-old man from Ellensburg. There were no signs of impaired driving.
Emergency responders transported the injured pedestrian to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. There is no update on his condition.
The Edmonds Police Department’s traffic unit was called to the scene to investigate the collision.
As a result of the accident, the road was temporarily closed to allow for the investigation.
