PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A volunteer search and rescue team is asking for help to recover from a burglary.
Pierce County Explorer Search and Rescue members say someone cut the fence to their vehicle storage area.
The thieves broke into exterior compartments on two mobile operations vehicles and a trailer.
They made off with rescue equipment and fuel.
The gear and vehicle locks must now be repaired or replaced.
The volunteer group is entirely funded by donations.
