1 killed, 1 injured in fire at Tacoma gun range

TACOMA, Wash. — One person has died, and another was injured following a fire at Bull’s Eye Indoor Range in Tacoma on Sunday evening.

Around 6:15 p.m. Tacoma Fire answered calls of a fire at a business on Puyallup Avenue with people inside.

Crews tackled the fire while an employee at the gun range helped guide employees and customers out of the burning building.

The injured person was taken to a Tacoma-area hospital, but their condition is not yet known.

This is Tacoma’s first deadly fire of 2025.

The fire appears to have originated on the second floor, in a classroom area where the business kept live ammo and electrical equipment.

While crews are still investigating the exact cause of the fire, it appears to be unintentional.

This is a developing story.

KIRO 7 will have updates as they become available.
