MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Have you seen Bonnie? That’s the question a Marysville neighborhood is asking after the cat reportedly knocked over a candle, sparking a fire inside her owner’s home.
Crews were dispatched to the home Thursday afternoon and found heavy smoke pouring from the single-story house.
Bonnie was seen running from the home and hasn’t returned.
The homeowner was taken to a local hospital for evaluation after inhaling smoke.
Marysville Fire estimates about $35,000 in property damage.
Family tells KIRO 7 that Bonnie is very friendly but will hide when she is frightened. If you see her, you’re asked to call (425) 356-7281.
