KEY PENINSULA, Wash. — The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide on the Key Peninsula.
Deputies responded to a home on E Herron Boulevard NW on Herron Island Thursday evening to conduct a welfare check.
A couple had not been seen in a while and had not shown up to work.
When deputies arrived, they found a 64-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man dead inside a home from what appears to be knife wounds.
Deputies believe they were killed within the week.
A suspect is still on the loose.
