Ocean Shore family displaced in early morning house fire

OCEAN SHORES, Wash. — The Ocean Shores Fire Department is trying to determine how a home caught on fire on Falls of Clyde Loop Southeast.

It happened just before midnight.

Crews say when they arrived, flames were shooting out of the windows and the doors on the south side of the building.

Everyone was able to get out of the home safely and no one was hurt.

The family has been connected with the Red Cross, who is helping to find them a place to stay.

Firefighters say the home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage.

“We also would like to remind you to check your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors,” the department urged online. “We see more structure fires during this time of year and in many cases structure fires occur late at night or early in the morning, when people are sleeping.”
