KIRKLAND, Wash. — A car crashed into a grocery store in Kirkland on Sunday afternoon, killing one person and injuring three others.
According to the Kirkland Police Department, officers and the Kirkland Fire Department arrived at the Grocery Outlet in the Bridle Trails Shopping Center in Kirkland around 2 p.m. and found four people, including the driver, seriously injured.
All four people were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries, including the elderly driver.
One person died on their way to the hospital.
“On behalf of the Kirkland Police Department, I want to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the individual who passed away,” said Police Chief Cherie Harris. “Our thoughts are also with those who were injured and with everyone impacted by this tragic incident.”
Kirkland police are investigating the cause of the crash.
