SEATTLE — Seattle Fire says someone died after they struggled to stay afloat in Elliot Bay.
Crews rushed to their rescue Wednesday afternoon after someone spotted the person in the water near Alaskan Way.
A fire boat pulled the person out of the water and took them to a nearby marina, but the person died.
Police did not say why the person went in the water.
