The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Monday night on the 2300 block of 165th Street Court East.
Deputies arrived on the scene and took a man into custody.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, one man was dead and a second was arrested after the reported shooting.
The call came around 4:02 p.m. Deputies provided first aid to the victim, but he died at the scene.
The suspect was found nearby by deputies and taken into custody.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
