Police respond to shooting outside of Lincoln High School in Tacoma

TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Police Department (TPD) says one juvenile suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting outside Lincoln High School at around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Police do not have a suspect in custody, according to TPD.

Following the shooting, the victim went to a local business to call 911, Tacoma Police Sgt. John Correa said.

While police were responding to the scene, an officer was involved in a four-car collision, including with a school bus with no kids on board, Tacoma Police say.

The officer suffered minor injuries, Sgt. John Correa said.
