A road work sign with an alarming message was spotted by a KIRO 7 reporter early Thursday morning on State Route 99 at Dexter Way North, just south of the Aurora Bridge.
The road work sign repeated the message “ONE LESS CEO” and “MANY MORE TO GO,” a reference to the recent fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City.
A suspect, Luigi Magione, was arrested and charged in what police are calling a targeted attack.
KIRO 7 News has contacted the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Seattle Department of Transportation about the signs.
