Sedro-Woolley police rescue abandoned dog

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — This morning, officers with the Sedro-Woolley Police Department rescued an abandoned dog tied to a pole.

Officers out on patrol found the terrified dog, coaxed it into a patrol vehicle, and took it back to their office.

“The dog will receive care and is already being loved on,” said the Sedro-Woolley Police Department in a Facebook post. “If you know the owner, please let us know so we can express our displeasure and give them an appointment to speak with a judge. If you are unable to care for your dog, there are multiple places and ways where you can safely and legally surrender ownership.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sedro-Woolley Police Department: swpd.tips@ci.sedro-woolley.wa.us or 360-855-0111.
