Suspect in custody after fatal Seattle’s Central District shooting

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting early Saturday morning in Seattle’s Central District, according to the Seattle Police Department.

At approximately 4:25 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1200 block of East Spruce Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered an unconscious man with a gunshot wound.

Officers and Seattle Fire Department personnel provided medical aid at the scene, and the man was transported to Harborview Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Following an investigation, homicide detectives developed probable cause to arrest a 30-year-old man.

The suspect was located and arrested Saturday afternoon and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.
