WHITE CENTER, Wash. — The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) says a man has died at the hospital after a shooting in White Center just after midnight on Sunday morning.

Deputies were called close to Southwest 98th Street and 16th Avenue Southwest to reports of a car accident involving a road rage incident, KCSO said in a release.

Two men were found shot at the scene, one of them later died at the hospital, and the other man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

KCSO says the incident started when an alleged DUI driver crashed into a parked car.

The owner of the car confronted the driver, and an associate of the DUI driver allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the owner of the parked car and one other man.

The alleged shooter was arrested and booked while the driver was cited for DUI and released, KCSO says.

There is no longer a danger to the public, the sheriff’s office says.
