SEATTLE — Seattle police have arrested a man who stabbed another in the University District Wednesday afternoon.
SPD officers responded to an apartment in the U-District just after 4 p.m. When they arrived, an 18-year-old man reportedly came downstairs with a stab wound to the neck.
According to SPD, what occurred remains in dispute by the parties involved. Witness told police that a 32-year-old man stabbed the 18-year-old victim in the back of his neck, in an acquaintance’s apartment.
Officers were able to get the name and description of the suspect, and the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center via AMR in stable condition.
SPD began searching for the suspect, and over an hour later, a University of Washington Police Department unit spotted the suspect and kept him in sight while SPD units responded, taking the suspect into custody.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault. The SPD Homicide and Assault Unit will determine what led up to the stabbing.
