SEATTLE, Wash. — Wednesday, November 20, 6 a.m.
Washington State Ferries told all passengers to be prepared for possible service disruptions this morning due to high winds and weather, thanking travelers in advance for their patience and understanding as delays and cancellations are likely.
Changes could affect the following route schedules:
Anacortes/San Juan Islands: With stronger winds in the north, WSF expects this route and Port Townsend/Coupeville to be most impacted by severe weather. This could include delays and cancellations.
Port Townsend/Coupeville: The first two roundtrips from Port Townsend at 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and Coupeville at 7:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. sailings are canceled due to weather conditions. Alternate routes are Edmonds/Kingston and Mukilteo/Clinton.
All routes: Passengers can expect a bumpy ride due to choppy waters. To better stabilize vessels, WSF may not load them to full vehicle capacity and operate at slower speeds.
Washington State Ferries will continue to monitor the situation, you can find the most recent information on ferry schedules on the WSF website.
