SEATTLE, Wash. — There’s something big and yellow that’s taking up a large part of Seattle’s skyline—and no, it isn’t the sun. It’s Mama Duck, the world’s largest rubber duck.
She is 61 feet tall and is now perched atop the Lumen Field Event Center parking garage.
Her goal is to turn attention to the Seattle Boat Show which opens this Friday.
Those who attend the show are encouraged to stop by Little Toot, a 20-foot Ranger Tug that is filled with 2,000 rubber ducks. According to show organizers, some are ‘lucky ducks.’ About 15 percent of them hold prize codes for things like wakeboards, fishing gear, $500 shopping sprees, and Seahawks tickets.
The 78th Annual Seattle Boat Show runs through February 8 and features 295 exhibitors showcasing the latest gadgets and technology.
People can see over 800 boats—everything from dinghies to massive yachts.
It’s being held at Lumen Field Event Center and the Bell Harbor Marina. There’s a free shuttle connecting attendees to the locations.
