Several shot to death at Texas Target store

AUSTIN, Tex. — The Austin Police Department says several people are dead and many others are hurt after a shooting at a Target store in Austin.

Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis said during a news conference Monday afternoon that the suspect took off after the shooting, stole, then wrecked a car and hijacked another.

A suspect was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. and a motive has not been identified.

The shooting is under investigation.
