Tacoma police seek man suspected of several bank robberies

Detectives with the Tacoma Police Department are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted for a pair of bank robberies.

On Dec. 13, the man entered Umpqua Bank at 1201 South Pearl Street, where he handed the teller a note demanding cash.

The man is also the suspect in a bank robbery in Redmond in January.

The man is described as a white male in his 40s or 50s.

In the Tacoma robbery, he was wearing a Seattle Kraken beanie, a black gaiter-style mask, prescription glasses, a black jacket and purple scrubs.

In the Redmond robbery, he was wearing a white, pink and blue beanie with a light blue pom and black scrubs with flowers.

The man could be driving a black 2017 to 2020 Hyundai Kona or a dark gray 2017 to 2021 Mazda CX-5.
