Storm to kick off preseason against Phoenix Mercury

SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm are set to take on the Phoenix Mercury in their 2023 preseason opener Monday night at Climate Pledge Arena.

Monday’s game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, but was rescheduled to accommodate the Seattle Kraken as they play Game 4 of their second-round playoff series.

The Storm’s 2023 season will be the first without point guard Sue Bird since 2001.
