Colleen has been on the KIRO 7 News digital team for more than two decades, creating content for KIRO7.com and the KIRO 7 News app. She has covered many major news and weather events in Western Washington such as the 2012 May Day riots in downtown Seattle, the explosion in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood that devastated part of the business core in 2016, the disappearance of McCleary girl Lindsey Baum, and the historic flooding in northwest Washington in 2021, to name a few. She is a Seattle-area native who graduated from the University of Washington where she studied digital media and communications. She is a bit of a thrill seeker who has done indoor skydiving, walked on hot coals and bungee jumped, but also enjoys music, gardening, movies and the outdoors.
