Calmer skies are expected as the sun rises this morning, despite high winds knocking out power to much of Western Washington overnight.
The next system is offshore and will keep clouds over the area today, but the rain won’t come in until around and after dinner time.
Rain will continue through the morning commute and then taper to showers this afternoon.
KIRO 7 has issued another PinPoint Alert, but hopefully, it'll just be for the morning as we're expected to dry out later in the day!
Elsewhere, wind chills will be in the teens early with morning lows in the 20s. We will not have record lows in the morning as air temperatures will not be as cold.
We're seeing temps in the teens and twenties all over the area. With wind around 3-10 mph, it will feel significantly colder, in the single digits and teens!
A modest weather system is moving into Western Washington with some precipitation coming in along with it.
Pinpoint Alert Day continues for light snow showers & icy conditions early. Increasing mixed showers turn to all snow tonight. Alert into Thursday morning for messy conditions while driving.
What do you think is the number 1 question I get from family, friends, and viewers…can you guess what it is? Yup, it’s “Will it snow?”
Rainfall totals are still a bit up in the air, but at least 1-2″ of rain for the lowlands with the potential for 2-5″ in the mountains.
